See it. Solve it. Change it. Better the lives of Latinos by creating technological solutions to current challenges impacting our Latino families, neighbors, and communities at large.
Supported by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, and administered by HASTAC, the Challenge will provide $500,000 in grants to 10 – 15 Millennial-led projects that leverage technology to improve conditions and learning possibilities in our Latino communities.
The technology is up to you—propose anything from a mobile app to an online game that improves the lives of Latino families and Latino communities. Potential examples of new technology and/or digital tools include:
The Challenge is part of the Connected Learning movement, an educational approach that makes learning relevant to everyone, to real life and real work, and to the realities of the digital age.
